Revealing Kia blog tour and giveaway

Revealing Kia
By Airicka Phoenix

SYNOPSIS
The events of Claudia’s party were nothing more than a distant memory as far as Kia was concerned. She was ready to resume her life as though that night had never happened. But it’s a slippery slope keeping a secret and Kia’s about to learn just how hard when she’s faced with the truth and the consequences of her decision.
Adam Chaves was no stranger to girls wanting him. He was no stranger to breaking hearts, although never intentionally. What he didn’t understand was how Kia could undress him, touch him, burn him with her eyes and still keep him at arm’s length when it was evident how much it cost her. But what Kia didn’t realize was that he had never given up on anything in his life and he wasn’t about to start now. He would have his girl even if it meant he had to kidnap her to do it.

EXCERPT:

“You  better  hurry.” The  low,  lazy  drawl had me turning back to the room. Adam lay on his back, arms folded beneath his head. “I think I’m beginning to doze off again.” Stifling my laugh, I stole a peek up and down  the  hall  before  slipping  inside  and shutting the  door. I  crept  across the room,  careful  not  to stir Kenny who snored like he’d swallowed a blow horn. “I don’t know if I want to wake you,” I murmured, stopping when my knee bumped the edge of the mattress. “You might throw me into a snow bank, too.” There  was something intense  about the  way  he  watched me. I  didn’t  know what it was, but it had my heart galloping and my body reacting in  a way that brought a flush to my face. “The only place I’m going to throw you is right here.” He had my wrist before I could catch his meaning. I was yanked onto the bed, still warm and rumpled from his body. I might have squeaked or gasped or something, but it was a distant memory  when  his  mouth  took  claim  of  mine.  It wasn’t  a  kiss.  It was  war. It  was  cruel  and  hot  and demanding.  It was  his  hands  ripping up my body, fisting in my clothes, in my hair as his body restrained
mine, pinning me to the mattress. He kissed me as though he would die if he didn’t consume me. My legs were roughly thrown  apart  and my  thighs were filled by the  pressure  of  his  hips settling  into  place. A sound between a whimper and  a cry left me as his body aligned with mine in a way that sent fire racing through my veins. I was only barely conscious of anything except how much I wanted him to keep going. It was only due to the snortgrunt from the other occupant in the room that I tumbled down a notch from the  heights  he  was  taking  me.  “Kenny,”  I  gasped,  my  body  bowing  into  his.  He snarled.  His  fingers tightened in my hair, making me cry out as sharp slivers of delicious pleasure ripped through me. “Adam!”he hissed. “When you’re in my bed, it’s only Adam.” “Adam!” I obediently complied. Then he kissed me again.

Kia Valentines had always accepted the fact that she was a nerd, a nobody. It was a badge she wore with honor, until the day she saved Claudia DeLorenzo’s life and lost herself.
When offered the chance to shed her identity for a single night, Kia never believed it would change her life. It was one night. It meant nothing, or it shouldn't have. But that single night turned out to be her undoing when she finds passion in the arms of the one person she can never have.

Adam Chaves was more than just a gorgeous face, he made her laugh, but more importantly, when he looked at her, she felt like the most beautiful girl on earth. But Adam has no idea that Kia was the girl behind the mask and Kia has no intention of telling him. But a secret could only be kept if no one else knows about it. Claudia knows and she wants something Kia isn't willing to give in order to keep it.

Will Kia succumb? And just how far is Claudia willing to go to get what she wants?

My review:
I'd like to start by saying thank you to Airicka. I recieved and ARC copy of this book for an honest review.

I LOVED Finding Kia but it was just one of those books that I couldn't write a review for. I hate spoilers myself so I try not to give anything away when writing reviews and I just couldn't do it. Nothing I wrote sounded good enough to describe such a great book. So after about an hour of typing, deleting, typing, deleting I just gave up knowing I could never do it justice. With that said I am going to try my hardest to write this review.

Okay it may be short and sweet but here it goes.

As always with Mrs. Phoenixs' the book was amazing! I sat down and read it in one sitting. I shouldn't have since it kept me up until three in the morning but I couldn't help myself I just couldn't put it down. It's funny because I haven't read a book in one sitting since Betraying Innocents which is also an wonderful book by Airicka Pheonix.

The first book in the series, Finding Kia, was a great book with a nasty cliffhanger. So I impatiently had to wait to find out what the heck happened next. Revealing Kia picks up pretty close to where it left off. The first chapter was such a great way to continue the story. It reminds you of just how great Kia and her best friend Vanessa are together. They are so opposite that they compliment each other the way only best friends can.

I like reading books that have more than one point of view it gives you more depth to the story. Revealing Kia is told from two: Kia and Adam. Thinking about it now it would have been nice to have had some of Vanessa's point of view as well. She goes through alot in this book and I would have liked to get inside her head a little.

I love Kia. She's not a cookie cutter beautiful girl who just "doesn't know it" like alot and main female characters out there. She has flaws and embraces them. She's not a girlie girl either, she love jeans and sweaters, loves cupcakes and isn't afraid to admit it, and she really doesn't care what other people think of her. She's "real".

Kia's best friend Vanessa is the exact opposite. She knows she's beautiful, she loves to pamper herself and is never seen less than perfectly put together.

Adam is Vanessa's brother and Kia's love interest. The problem is that being loyal to Vanessa also means that Adam is off limits. He's very sweet, swoon worthy and determined to make Kia his.

The story flowed very nicely. Like I said before I couldn't put it down. I love the way Airicka touched on very real problems teenagers deal with. With every kid out there glued to their cell phones every second of the day it makes you realize just how cruel and out of hand kids can get with just a touch of a button. I also really enjoyed the tender moments between Kia and Adam. They are so sweet with each other.

Well I think if I don't stop talking now I'm going to give too much away. If you haven't guessed it by now I LOVED IT! As always Airicka did and amazing job.
